There are a variety of things to do and see in Fort
William and the surrounding areas.
The Lochaber Leisure Centre is a five-minute walk away
and has a swimming pool, sauna and steam room, cardio gym
and aerobics suite.
Nearby is the Ben Nevis visitor centre: why not research
your clan history and tartan.
A five minute drive takes you to the Ben Nevis Distillery
where you can take a tour and see how the 'Dew of Ben
Nevis' is produced and enjoy a sample or just have a
coffee.
Visit Nevis Range a 10-minute drive away. Take a trip in
Britain's only mountain gondola up Anoch Mor 2150ft beside
Ben Nevis - the views are stunning.
On the lower ground there are 25 miles of forest tracks
to explore on foot or by bike

The road to the Isles takes you to Mallaig past the
Golden Sands of Morar and Glenfinnan where you can see the
Glenfinnan monument, the famous viaduct (as seen in the
Harry Potter movies), the National Trust for Scotland
visitor centre and take a cruise on Loch Shiel.
A ten minute walk up Glen Nevis takes you to the visitor
centre on the banks of the river Nevis, an ideal picnic
site in the heart of the glen.

From the south: - follow the signs for Inverness on the
A82 through Fort William as far as the roundabout at
NevisBridge, cross the roundabout into Glen Nevis.
From the north: - approaching Fort William on the A82
from the Inverness direction turn left at Nevis Bridge
roundabout into Glen Nevis.
The cottage is the first on your right.
